CHINEDU ECHERUO Pockets Apple’s $1 billion to become Nigeria’s Youngest Billionaire!

The world stood up for young Nigerian entrepreneur, Chinedu Echeruo who attended King’s College Lagos and graduated from Harvard Business School, who got Apple Inc interested in his site HopStop.com for a whooping $1 billion.

Chinedu has a working history with J. P . Morgan Chase and AM Investment Partners where he was involved in finance. Chinedu founded HopStop.com in 2005 and currently sits as the Chairman of the board. The move by Apple is in direct response to Google’s recent acquisition of Waze for mapping services. HopStop.com has helped several users find nearby subway stations and bus stops, and find directions in 300 cities. For sure, Chinedu has hit big on this one.

While I congratulate him, I pose this as a challenge to you to maintain consistency in your work. Way back in 2005, Chinedu never knew that Apple would come knocking for HopStop.com and this has made him a phenomenon on the African continent and the world at large. It has taken 8 solid years for HopStop.com to get the attention of a wealthy buyer, but it has also taken 8 years of consistency on Chinedu’s part to realize this feat.

My message today is: Stay Consistent!
